Rising Star is our bridge program between CanSkate and STARSkate - designed for skaters who have completed Stage 4 or higher and are ready for more advanced skill development in figure skating.

Each session includes 45 minutes of coach-led group lessons and 15 minutes of independent skating time. The program introduces skaters to the basics of figure skating, including edges, turns, spins, jumps, and performance skills.

Rising Star blends group instruction with independent practice, helping skaters refine technique while building the confidence and discipline needed for more formal training. It’s a fun, supportive environment where skaters can explore their passion for figure skating while preparing for STARSkate levels.

Skaters must wear figure skates and a CSA-approved helmet until they have completed Stage 5 and are evaluated for readiness to go without.
