Our Programs
Pre-CanSkate
A non-parented class for children ages 3-5 who have not had any significant time on skates. It is designed to introduce children to the ice and help them become comfortable. Skaters will learn basic skills with the help of music, games, and teaching aids so they can feel confident moving to our CanSkate program.
CanSkate
As Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, CanSkate teaches fundamental skills needed for all ice sports. Designed for skaters ages 5+, this program uses nationally-tested and proven curriculum and delivery methods that guarantee skater success in developing stronger basic skills and developing them faster.
PowerSkate
Skate Canada’s PowerSkate program is a high-energy power skating program for hockey and ringette players, focusing on enhancing balance, control, agility, power, and speed. Led by NCCP-certified coaches, it offers progressive drills and techniques to elevate skating skills for game situations and take your player to the next level.
RisingSTAR
This program is for those in CanSkate Stage 4-6, who are interested in pursing figure skating in our STARSkate program. Through our small-group delivery, skaters are able to develop their skills in Balance, Control, and Agility while being introduced to STARSkate skills and lesson formats.
STARSkate
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program is delivered through group and/or private lessons with the opportunity to take Skate Canada assessments and attend competitions in both the recreational and competitive streams.
